Where to get help
  • If you need help editing or submitting your draft, please ask us a question at the AfC Help Desk or get live help from experienced editors. These venues are only for help with editing and the submission process, not to get reviews.
  • If you need feedback on your draft, or if the review is taking a lot of time, you can try asking for help on the talk page of a relevant WikiProject. Some WikiProjects are more active than others so a speedy reply is not guaranteed.
How to improve a draft

Huolin Xin is a tenured Professor in the School of Physics at U.C. Irvine. His research has resulted in more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and several patents. He was awarded the prestigious Burton Medal (2021) and the DOE Early Career Award (2020). Before becoming a professor at UCI, Dr. Xin worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory as a principle investigator. His primary field of expertise lies in developing novel methods in electron microscopy to discover new properties in the physics and chemistry of materials. His techniques span innovative data science and physics of electron-matter interaction to achieve 3-D, atomic-resolution, and in situ spectroscopic and imaging tools.

The Xin lab's research in electrochemistry and batteries include energy material sythesis combined with tomographic and atomic-resolution chemical imaging of battery and fuel cell materials . His TEM work leverages in situ environmental study of heterogeneous catalysts and the development of deep learning enabled self-driving TEM. Twice, his work on battery materials was selected as the Top-10 Scientific Achievements (2014, 2019) by Brookhaven National Lab. His lab currently produces high-tech cathode materials used by leading battery manufactures for small batch testing standards and development.
