ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Merry Christmas!

BOZ (talk) is wishing you a Merry Christmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow!

Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message.

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. Feel free to take a "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" if you prefer.  :) BOZ (talk) 00:16, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

Saturn vs Sega Saturn

I made a change at Steam-Heart's after your recent edit. "Saturn" is shorthand, so first mention, and the infobox should still read "Sega Saturn" when possible. Treat it like "Nintendo Switch". TarkusAB 16:45, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

Thanks, TarkusAB. It's easy to forget which system names are shortened and which aren't. Sega Saturn isn't, Master System is, for example. Dgpop (talk) 04:26, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

Edit request for Anthony Wood

Hi Dgpop, I am employed by Roku and I am working to expand the page of Roku's founder, Anthony Wood (businessman). I see that you are interested in video games and computer history, and I hope you will consider implementing the edit request I posted at Talk: Anthony Wood (businessman)#Expand career section which mentions Wood's work on Lunar Lander and Commodore Amiga. Thank you, YZ for Roku (talk) 21:18, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for getting my edit to the citizen's arrest law reverted because I apparently used "copyrighted" material known as the LAW OF THE LAND... so useful, thanks so much for your help. You're a credit to WP... FFS Apeholder (talk) 17:39, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi Apeholder. I removed the phrase "it should be noted that" based on the WP manual of style (MOS:NOTED). You don't need to note that you're going to note something, just note it. I don't know anything about the copyrighted material you mention. Dgpop (talk) 16:02, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
