Warning: active arbitration remedies

The contentious topics procedure applies to this article. This article is related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, which is a contentious topic. Furthermore, the following rules apply when editing this article:

  • You must be logged-in and extended-confirmed to edit or discuss this topic on any page (except for making edit requests, provided they are not disruptive)
  • You may not make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any edits related to this topic

Editors who repeatedly or seriously fail to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process may be blocked or restricted by an administrator. Further information
The exceptions to the extended confirmed restriction are:
  1. Non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace only to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided they are not disruptive.
  2. Non-extended-confirmed editors may not create new articles, but administrators may exercise discretion when deciding how to enforce this remedy on article creations. Deletion of new articles created by non-extended-confirmed editors is permitted but not required.

With respect to the WP:1RR restriction:

  • Clear vandalism of whatever origin may be reverted without restriction. Also, reverts made solely to enforce the extended confirmed restriction are not considered edit warring.
  • Editors who violate this restriction may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offence.

After being warned, contentious topics procedure can be used against any editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process. Contentious topic sanctions can include blocks, topic-bans, or other restrictions.
Editors may report violations of these restrictions to the Arbitration enforcement noticeboard.

If you are unsure if your edit is appropriate, discuss it here on this talk page first. When in doubt, don't revert!

Move discussion in progress

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:1948 Palestinian exodus which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 04:29, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

Name change

To editor Seraphim System: Hi, this name change is not good. The article is about an annual day of remembrance, but the new title refers to the original event being remembered. It is the same as confusing Israeli Declaration of Independence with Independence Day (Israel). Please move it back or suggest a different title that reflects the annual nature. Zero 04:18, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, I could not find the Nakhba article, no objection to moving it back.Seraphim System 04:19, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

Syntax errors and no editing permissions

There are syntax errors in the article eg "It generally commemorated on". However it seems that I am not permissioned to make any edits, which I find a bit surprising. And indeed I see there have been very few edits these past few weeks. TGcoa (talk) 20:25, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Timing edit request

Please remove the redundant Gregorian Date link in the Timing section. Artificial Nagger (talk) 23:23, 4 March 2023 (UTC)

Add Tisha B'Av in the "See also" section due to the similar nature of the holiday to Nakba Day (both are holidays related to dispossession by who the celebrants they deem an alien occupier and an implied hope that they one day may return to their native land), and the similar (mostly identical) location where the events took place Zifrs69 (talk) 21:25, 10 May 2023 (UTC)

Do you have a reliable source which makes this association, or is it entirely your own speculation? RolandR (talk) 23:04, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
I am mentioning @Zifrs69 here so that he gets notified about it. DreamRimmer (talk) 13:19, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Izno (talk) 22:20, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
