Suspected sockpuppets

I suspect the account WayMaQueen can be related to HipHopVisionary as previously blocked socks by him such as fajitabiscuit frequent articles related to African-American culture. Furthermore the content added by WayMaQueen about the controversial Black Panther Party being an example of African-American culture could be considered passive-agressive vandalism, which is a common practice of this editor .

Other account that is likely a sockpuppet is that of the editor GreekYogurt2024, similarly to previously blocked accounts many edits of this one can be considered passive aggressive vandalism such as , and. Moreover the name and edits of this account are also extremely similar to those of the recently blocked account Gitana Mexicana 2024 which was in turn incurring on similar passive-aggressive vandalism, even more evidence can be found when one looks up the archive for HipHopVisionary's case, as other accounts with names ending on their year of creation can be found such as White American 2023, Mexican Girl 2023 or Just A Wikipedian 2021 etc.

Anoter suspected sock puppet that may be worth checking is the account Mister Vicenzo as the topics of interest of this editor overlap with those of already blocked accounts of this sockmaster (particularly in relation to Romani people as can be seen on the articles he edits or in the names he choses for his accounts, additional examples of this are accounts such as Gypsy_Roma_1986) such as the aforementioned Just A Wikipedian and Honeybear1995, in this case also both, HoneyBear1995 and Greekyogurt2024 perform a similar edit with a similar edit summary (compare with ).

Requesting Checkuser to see if other accounts show up but its important to keep in mind that a vandal this persistent may be using VPNs. Pob3qu3 (talk) 03:38, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Thank you Izno & RoySmith, this is a highly disruptive vandal that I've been tracking for a while now. I'll keep an eye open to search for more evidence/accounts for more cases. Pob3qu3 (talk) 03:26, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply Spicy, besides the accounts Just A Wikipedian and Gypsy Roma 1986, there's this currently blocked open proxy on which can be observed much overlap with the topics Mister Vincenzo edits such as Europe-relate demographic articles, Romani people (specially before April 16), immigration etc. There even is an edit on an article of Indigenous peoples.
When it comes to WayMaQueen another evidence that raises eyebrows is this edit in the article of Stereotypes of African Americans, that while innocuos happens to come after a vandalic edit done by another blocked open proxy, this is suspicious as a practice I've observed from this editor is that of doing a problematic edit with a sockpuppet/proxy and then make another edit with another sockpuppet in order to "hide" said edit (the open proxy in question also does have edits on articles related to Romani people and Indigenous peoples, specially before April 11). • CheckUser requested - Given the age of each of these accounts I think a CU request is fair. I've otherwise blocked the 3 listed. Izno (talk) 23:56, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
  •  In progress - RoySmith (talk) 01:09, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Greekyogurt2024 is  Likely to White American 2023 based on technical data. As for the other two, I'm going to go with  Inconclusive so they'll have to be evaluated on behavior alone. RoySmith (talk) 01:21, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Izno and RoySmith: I ran some checks of my own. Greekyogurt2024 looks like HHV technically and behaviourally. However, I would call Mister Vincenzo Red X Unrelated - not inconclusive - and their behaviour is noticeably different. The age of the account is another red flag. WayMaQueen is at best  Possible and I find the behavioural evidence lacking. The distinctive behaviour of this sockmaster is not just editing topics related to race, but creating large numbers of questionable redirects and pointless one-sentence-long articles. Spicy (talk) 07:20, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Izno, I have to agree with Spicy. Given the CU evidence, age of the accounts and difference in behavior, I am inclined to unblock WayMaQueen and Mister Vincenzo. Would that be alright with you? Sro23 (talk) 07:34, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
@Sro23, if you think that's fair, go for it. Izno (talk) 17:37, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
  • Thank you Izno! Closing case then. Sro23 (talk) 22:07, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
