Ryan Wesley Routh is an American man who is suspected of having attempted to assassinate former U.S. president Donald Trump, who at the time was the presumptive Republican Party nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

On September 15, 2024, Secret Service agents shot at a Routh, who has hiding in shrubs with a rifle at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. He fled the scene but was later captured. The incident occurred while former U.S. president Donald Trump was golfing at the club.
