• Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
• Offer a correction if possible.
• References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
• Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 23:32 on 14 January 2025) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
• Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
• Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
• No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
• Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.

Errors in the summary of the featured article

Today's FA

The sentence This became controversial when his onetime translator, Kurt Waldheim, successfully ran for the Austrian presidency in the 1980s. isn't mentioned in the article's actual lead. In fact, that controversy only takes two sentences (one in the body and one as part of an image caption) in the entire article, which might make it WP:UNDUE for a Main Page summary. • Photo: a photograph of a statue of Buddha was featured on the main page in the OTD section on 20 September 2024. Now we have another picture of a Buddha-related statue set to go live on 21 September 2024. Is this OK? Therapyisgood (talk) 23:41, 20 September 2024 (UTC)

One detail, the OTD Buddha statue was on 20 September and the DYK one is set to go live on 22 September, so there is a 24 hour gap without a Buddha statue between them. TSventon (talk) 00:56, 21 September 2024 (UTC)

It's OK in the sense of "not disallowed by the rules, but it would be preferable not to run these so close together. Pinging promoter Kusma and main prepper Rjjiii to see if this one can be delayed and another image hook swapped in. Checking also with article creator and nominator NeverBeGameOver to see if maybe running the picture of the temple hall is an option. @Firefangledfeathers: If you're asking for an alternative image hook, ALT1 at Template:Did you know nominations/United States ten-thousand-dollar bill is easy to verify and the image is in the public domain (protected by counterfeiting laws rather than copyright). If you're asking as a courtesy because I did the prep, I think Launchballer added that one. Rjj (talk) 03:47, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
