On 13 October 2024, Hezbollah conducted a drone attack on Binyamina, Israel. The attack killed three Israelis and wounded at least 67, including four critically.

Strike

On October 13, 2024, a drone launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon entered Israeli airspace and crashed near the town of Binyamina, located in the Haifa District of Israel. The incident resulted in injuries to at least 67 people, with four individuals reported in critical condition. Medical teams, including a helicopter, were dispatched to the scene to evacuate and provide emergency care to the wounded. According to Israeli Army Radio, Hezbollah successfully deceived the Israeli air defense system by firing a barrage of missile to cover the drone.

The attack involved the launch of three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Lebanon. While two of the drones were intercepted, one managed to penetrate deep into Israeli territory, crashing in the Binyamina area. The drone incursion occurred without the activation of alarm systems that would normally signal such an attack. In a separate statement, Hezbollah said it targeted the Tsnobar logistics base in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Casualties

Three Israelis were killed and at least 67 were wounded as a result of the attack. Magen David Adom (the Israeli medical service, or MDA) reported that four people were critically injured, five seriously, and 14 moderately. Three of the injured were airlifted to Sheba Medical Center, while two were taken to Rambam Health Care Campus. An additional 28 victims were transported to various hospitals by ambulance.
