This new vocabulary in Spanish includes words and expressions used by young people in the Spanish language and characterizes for being short, using foreign words from English, and adapted to new technologies, like dating apps, with the word "hacer un next".

Some examples include:
- Fife refers to generally heterosexual men who like football. They are also considered to exhibit Machismo and even racism.
- En plan… (transl. In plan…) is generally used to explain something, like o sea... (transl. I mean…).
- Petarlo (no word in English) is to make something epic, or incredible... Fundéu said that an "18th century term like "petar" has become slang in the 21st".
