Shark Tank Egypt is an Egyptian business reality television series that airs on CBC and Watch It streaming service. The show is the Egyptian franchise of the American show Shark Tank. It shows entrepreneurs making business presentations to a panel of investors or sharks, who decide whether to invest in their company.

Season 1 aired on CBC and Watch It Streaming service starting from 7 Jan. 2023.

Concept

The show features a panel of potential investors or angel investors, termed as "Sharks", who listen to entrepreneurs' pitch ideas for a business or product they wish to develop. These multi-millionaires judge the business concepts and products pitched and then decide whether to invest their money to help market and mentor each contestant.

Ayman Abbas (Season 1-3)

As the Executive Chairman of "Intro Holding," Ayman leads various companies, including ADES International M Squared Developments, Advansys for Technology, Intro Resources Recovery, TBS Holding, and International Meat Capital, among others.

Ahmed El Sewedy (Season 1-3)

Ahmed El Sewedy has been making waves in the business world for over three decades with a keen eye for innovation and razor-sharp business acumen. As President and CEO of Elsewedy Electric Co., he's taken the company to new heights, transforming it from a local player to a global powerhouse with over 30 production facilities across 16 countries.

Abdallah Sallam (Season 1-3)

Mohamed Farouk (Season 1-3)

Ahmed Tarek Khalil (Season 1-3)

Dina Ghabbour (Season 2-3)

Hilda Louca (Season 1-2)

Investments

Multiple entrepreneurs secured deals with the sharks that ranges from 100K EGP to 80 millions EGP, covering different fields and businesses such as agriculture, human resources, technology, commerce, online businesses, textiles and others.

Most notable investment came from former Tottenham Hotspur footballer Ahmed Hossam Mido, who received an investment form five sharks for his footballer school "The Maker".

On Jan 2nd 2025, the 11th episode of Season 3 had a pitch from three 12-year-old children who wowed the sharks with their presentation and secured offers from all of them. The project’s concept is admirable, but what truly captured the sharks was the ambition of these young entrepreneurs. Their pitch went viral online as they received 100k EGP (2000$) for their start up.
