Enchantress was built by Harland and Wolff of Belfast in the north of Ireland and launched in 1903 at a cost of £131,000. Her length was 320 feet, beam 40 feet, displacement 3470 tons, with steam propulsion of 6400 horsepower driving twin counter-rotating screws. Armament was three 3-pounder guns.
During World War 1 she was used as a hospital ship for officers.
She was sold for scrap in 1935.
