Please bear these points in mind while editing Misplaced Pages:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Misplaced Pages's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Misplaced Pages page and follow Misplaced Pages's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Misplaced Pages is not a forum.

Hello, I'm Bowler the Carmine. Misplaced Pages is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Abu Bakr seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Bowler the Carmine | talk 17:07, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
Dear Bowler the Carmine,
Thank you for your message. i understand your concern about maintaining a neutral point of view on Misplaced Pages. However, i would like to respectfully disagree with your decision to remove my edit
including Shia point of view on Abu Bakr's page can be perceived as disrespectful to the 1.7 billion Sunni Muslims who follow him as the first caliph of Islam. Mentioning opposing views on someone's page can be seen as inflammatory and hurtful to their followers.
in this case, i believe it's essential to prioritize respect and sensitivity towards the vast majority of Muslims who hold Abu Bakr in high esteem. I kindly request that you remove the Shia point of view from this page to avoid causing offense to 1.7 billion Sunni Muslims.
Thank you for your understanding.
Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to Abu Bakr. Misplaced Pages is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. If the content in question involves images, you also have the option to configure Misplaced Pages to hide the images that you may find offensive. Thank you. - "I removed the claims due to lack of reliable sources. Please provide credible references to support such information, so we can ensure the accuracy and reliability of the content on this page." no need to include them on the page Umayyad-387 (talk) 08:13, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
Please try to understand how Misplaced Pages works
Please try to understand how Misplaced Pages works:
- Maintaining a neutral point of view on Misplaced Pages means neutrally summarizing what reliable secondary sources mention about a given subject, and neutrally keeping out what such sources do not mention. It has nothing to do with being respectful or with avoiding offense. If reliable sources are found to be offensive, so will Misplaced Pages. We are neutral with respect to reliable sources, not with respect to anything or anyone else.
- Misplaced Pages is not based on original research into primary sources. Such original research is strictly prohibited. Medieval religious sources like hadith are primary sources, which are not acceptable. What you write here must be based on secular, academic, secondary and tertiary sources. This means encyclopedias, monographs, and journal articles written by professional historians. If you are not familiar with such sources, please either familiarize yourself with them, or stop editing on historical subjects.
- What you are doing on Abu Bakr is called wp:edit warring, which is strictly prohibited. When you disagree with other editors, you should discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Please be aware that edit warring will lead to your account being blocked from editing Misplaced Pages.
Thank you for taking this into consideration, and a happy new year, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ☉) 11:40, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- As a new contributor to Misplaced Pages, i apologize in advance for any mistakes i may have made while editing. i have added a secondary source to provide further evidence for the claim.
- Appreciate your help Umayyad-387 (talk) 15:48, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- I see you are using a book by Mulla Ali Qari, a sixteenth-century Islamic scholar. While technically this is a secondary source, it is not the independent type of secondary source that Misplaced Pages considers reliable for this purpose, which would rather be modern (20th- or 21st-century) historical scholarship (see WP:SCHOLARSHIP:
Material such as an article, book, monograph, or research paper that has been vetted by the scholarly community
). - On another note, why are you still adding new information purely based on primary sources?
- I see you've opened Talk:Abu Bakr#Abu Bakr's love and respect for Ahle Bayt. Great! I will restore the status quo revision of that page, as well as of Umar, so you can discuss with other editors in order to get wp:consensus for your edits. Further reverting on your part will be regarded as edit warring and will lead to a block.
- Thank you for your attention, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ☉) 16:32, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

Hi Umayyad-387! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Aqil ibn Abi Talib several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Aqil ibn Abi Talib, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ☉) 10:40, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Misplaced Pages articles, as you did to Attack on Fatima's house. Doing so violates Misplaced Pages's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Heythereimaguy (talk) 23:13, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
