Chaudhary Sher Ali is a Pakistani politician who was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 1990 to 1993, 1997 and again from 1997 to till 1999. Previously, he served as the 2nd and 3rd Mayor of Faisalabad.
Early life and education
Education
Sher Ali completed his early education from Aitcheson College, Lahore, where his elder brother Haider Ali Khan was already studying. Sher Ali, later went to F.G.Sir Syed College, Rawalpindi for further education from where be obtained BA degree. He intended to pursue further higher education, but was unable to do so due to death of his brother Haider Ali Khan in a road accident. Despite this he continued his education in Pakistan and got admission in the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.
Political career
He became the 2nd Mayor of Faisalabad in the 1983 Faisalabad Local Government Elections, and the second time he won the local government elections was in 1987.
He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan in the 1990 general elections.
He was re-elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan in the 1993 general elections.
He was re-elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan in the 1997 general elections.
