Tameryraptor (“Thief from the beloved land”) is a genus of theropod dinosaur. Its remains were originally assigned to the genus Carcharodontosaurus but were reassigned in 2025. This genus contains one species, Tameryraptor markgrafi.
History
The remains of Tameryraptor wass found by german palaeontologist Ernst Stromer and assigned as the holotype of the genus Carcharodontosaurus saharicus. The name is SNSB-BSPG 1922 X46.
were destroyed in the Bombing of Munich in World War II, and therefore this genus was named based off an archival photograph.
Description
Tameryraptor had a very small protrusion upon its snout.
