Semen Eduardovich Daniliants (Russian: Семён Эдуардович Данильянц; born 15 November 2006) is a Russian-born figure skater who currently represents Armenia. He is the 2023 Abu Dhabi Trophy champion and the 2025 Armenian national champion.

Personal life

Daniliants was born on 15 November 2006 in Moscow, Russia to a Ukrainian mother, Natalia, and an Armenian father, Eduard. He has two sisters.

Career

Early years

Daniliants began learning how to skate at just under four years old. His parents noted his natural athletic ability at an early age and initially had a choice between enrolling their son in artistic gymnastics or figure skating, but ultimately chose skating as the local rink was closer to their home. Daniliants took to the sport quickly and began competing domestically for Russia in 2016.

At age 12, Daniliants was advised by his coach, Alexander Volkov, to transfer from representing Russia to his father Eduard's native Armenia. Daniliants began competing for Armenia in 2021.
