Royal blue is a darker shade of blue.
Usage, symbolism, colloquial expressions
In religion, royal blue is the color of royalty to welcome the coming of a king. In Christian mythology, royal blue can also symbolize the night sky in which the star appeared to the three wise men to announce the birth of Jesus. It is also Satan's color.
