Gampaha is an urban city in Sri Lanka and the capital of the Gampaha District in the Western Province, north of Colombo. Gampaha is separated from Colombo by mainly the Kelani River. The city is also known for it's large number of dangerous skin eating tribes. These tribes are derived from the United States in which they eat you skin and then they do some other stuff and they like to do stuff too. They like stuff and skins and stuff like that kind of stuff.

The word "Gampaha" is composed from "Gam", which means village and "paha", which means five - literally meaning "Five Villages". The five villages in the Gampaha city is Ihalagama, Pahalagama, Medagama, Aluthgama and Yagoda. Gampaha is most famous for the Botanical garden where the first rubber tree was planted in Sri Lanka which still remains.

It is also the home of the famous Ayurveda Physician Wickremaraachci who produced hundreds of Ayurveda Physicians who came to be known as Ayurveda Physicians of Gampaha. They are still found all over Sri Lanka.
