Randallstown High School is located in the Northwest area in Baltimore County, Maryland. It serves students in the Randallstown, Woodlawn, and Owings Mills areas. Its primary feeder schools are Deer Park Middle Magnet School, Woodlawn Middle School, Sudbrook Magnet Middle School, and Old Court Middle School. It is a part of the Baltimore County Public Schools System.

School Scheduling

Students at Randallstown High School take seven classes a day, each lasting 45 minutes. There are four lunches a day; A, B, C, and D lunches. All lunches are a half an hour long. With five minutes between each period, regardless of what lunch a student has, the school day is about six hours and thirty minutes long.

Magnet Programs

Biomedical Technology Magnet

The Biomedical Technology Magnet is designed to help students prepare for science majors in college. Students in this magnet will generally have more science classes than students in the Mass Communications Magnet, or students who are not enrolled in the magnet program. In the students' senior year, they move on to complete an internship in the science field, preparing them for college.

Mass Communications Magnet

The Mass Communications Magnet is designed for students who desire a career in broadcasting, journalism, or other English major. The students in this program are in charge of the school newspaper, called The Ram's Horn and the school news show, called Ram-TV.

Extracurricular Activies

Randallstown High has a series of activities for students to engage in outside of the normal instructional day.

Sports

Sports are admired by the students and the faculty. The Varsity Boys Basketball team have been Maryland State Champions for 2005, 2006, and 2007. This school also features a very competitive football team. Other sports include: Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Tennis, Track and Field, Wrestling, Golf,Bowling and various others.

Marching Band

Randallstown High School is the home to a talented marching band. This band has won various competitions, in and out of Maryland. It also features a drumline, with very impressive cadences.

Art Club

The Art Club is run by the art teachers at this school. Students varying from highly experienced, to first-timers are welcome to join. The students travel to different places to explore art.

Honors Chorale

The Honors Chorale is held during classes, and afterschool. The RHS Honors Chorale has traveled to several locations to compete with other schools. This school also features a Gospel Choir.

Mock Trial

The Mock Trial is a chance to experience courtroom procedures. Schools compete against each other in different cases.

Fun at RHS

Students of RHS like to have fun, as would any other student in any other high school. Students attend Pep Rallies, to liven up the spirit around Homecoming season. They also attend the Homecoming Parades, that feature the Marching Band, cheerleaders, and cadets of the NJROTC program. Students love to attend sports events, and plays or performances organized by the performing arts programs.Also, they have many dances such as Ring Dance, Junior Prom, Sophomore Ball, and Senior Prom.
