Robert "Bert" McCracken (born February 25, 1982 in Orem, Utah) is the lead singer of the punk/emo band, The Used. Bert was raised in a Mormon family during his youth. He was inspired by Michael Jackson to become a singer at a young age. He also attended High School with bandmember Quinn Allman, before dropping out. Before joining The Used, he played the trumpet in a local band in his hometown. Wanting to seek new musicial options, he auditioned for a band in his hometown who needed a singer. After his audition, Quinn, Jeph and Branden were so blown away, that they asked him to join. He was so involved, he hitchhiked to band practice. Soon, Bert moved out of his house and lived with Quinn and his parents for awhile, before their band became a huge success. he is dead sexy
