Hollister Co. is a clothing store that targets 14 - 25 year olds. It is an offshoot of Abercrombie & Fitch. It is named after Hollister Ranch, located near Santa Barbara, California. Many in the Southern California surfer community have taken great offense to Abercrombie & Fitch's exploitation of their local culture, however Hollister has proven to be an enormous marketing success throughout the United States.

Hollister is also a city in central California. Though many articles of Hollister Co. apparel bear the phrase "Hollister, CA" or "Hollister, Calif.," the town is an hour inland and has no connection with the company.
