She applied to seven drama schools but unfortunately did not get into one. Her big break came in the UK soap opera Emmerdale in which she is playing the slightly wild Jasmine Thomas, niece of the local vicar Ashley Thomas. Ironically on the day she got the part she was finally accepted into a Drama school. In 2005 she appeared in the BBC Children in Need, an annual British charity appeal organized by the BBC.
Her website reveals that in real life, she is dating Karl Davies who played Robert Sugden in the Emmerdale and that she lives with her former co-star Julia Mallam in Leeds. She is 5ft 2in tall and a UK 10 dress size.
