Steven Curtis Chapman (born November 21, 1962 in Paducah, Kentucky) has been one of the biggest stars of contemporary Christian music since the late 1980s.

He is also a nationally recognized advocate for adoption. After he and his wife Mary Beth had three biological children, they adopted three Chinese girls.
