Arliss Howard (born Leslie Richard Howard on October 18, 1954 in Independence, Missouri) is an American actor, writer and film director, best known for his roles in Full Metal Jacket and Ruby, and for starring in and directing the film Big Bad Love (also starring his wife Debra Winger). Howard also was in the film Til' death do us part, portraying author and attorney Vincent Bugliosi, who was in a trial against Charles Manson.
