Nat Turner was a slave in the United States who led a slave uprising against white slave owners. Born October 2, 1800 and hanged on November 11, 1831 in Jerusalem, Virginia. He led probably the bloodiest of the slave rebellions in the United States.

Turner is view favorably by many in what would later become know as that Black Power Movement.
