Grooming--When two ape or primitive beings clean each other by combing through the hair and extracting foreign objects such as bugs and leaves, dirt and twigs. When regarding a human it means to primp--wash and cleanse the hair, comb it to extract tangles and snarls. Then proceed to style it.
