Rex Gildo (July 2 1939 - October 26 1999) Germany's greatest Schlager Balladeer Rex Sold Millions of Records and starred in 1960s and 1970s romantic musicals.

He sang often with German-Danish singer [[Gitte Haenning) and had million selling Euro Hits 1962 "speedy Gonzales", 1965 "Goodbye Susanna" 1972 "Fiesta Mexicana", 1973 "der Sommer ist Vorbei", 1974 "Marie der laste tanze", 1985 Ein rendezvous auf venedig "1989 "mexicanische nacht".

In 1974 Rex Gildo Marion and millions of his female fans hearts were broken. Rex was always a young handsome teen idol similar in greatness and record sales to UK's greatest singer Cliff Richard.

Rex Gildo continued through a golden career 1959 to 1999 to sell many millions of Schlager Ballads, appear on ZDF Hitparade , concerts, films, tv shows and was a magnificent work of art compared to the noisy, sick, drug infested rock/metal/punk/hip hop sick noises that were his rivals.
