He is the singer and writer of Chocolate rain, a popular song which has turned into an internet meme. The Austrialian Daily Telegraph says: "Tay Zonday has written perhaps the most listened to song in the world right now"
The song Chocolate Rain deals with the historic and systematic oppression of black people. E.g, in the justice system the lyrics say:
- Chocolate Rain
- The same crime has a higher price to pay
- Chocolate Rain
- He judge and jury swear it's not the face
The popularity of the song has encouraged fans and critics alike to make remixes andparodies of the video. Remixes include a Darth Vader remix and a club mix.
