Stop moving articles without following Chile city naming convention

Can you stop moving articles like you did to Pucón please. You have no excuse because Pucon is the actual example given on Chile city naming convention, and you have been warned several times before.--Jackaranga 00:51, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Do you have any reason for edits like this other than deliberate disruption? --Scott Davis 06:39, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Discuss first, move last, and don't make the disruptive extra edits to the redirects. If the eventual (new) decision is something other than the status quo for most of this year and different than your view of how stuff should be, then someone has to mve things again, and your edited redirects just make it harder. I have no problem with a new discussion, but your moves are not helping. --Scott Davis 06:56, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
To save the back-and-forth, I've just answered at user talk:ScottDavis. --Scott Davis 08:44, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Chile poll opened

Hi Cielo. I think you'd agree with me that it's not clear what most people think about naming articles about Chile settlements. I've opened a poll at Misplaced Pages talk:Chile-related regional notice board#settlement article naming poll to help understand what people really support. Please express an opinion there (and correct it if I've misrepresented you) and abide by any decision reached by the community. --Scott Davis 13:00, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Ciello - stop renaming articles during the discussion, and never edit the redirect link after a move! --Scott Davis 23:39, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Human Development Index

Can you cite a verifiable source for all the additions you have made concerning the Human Development Index? If so, please add these to the edits you've made.

The link you've provided only explains what the Index is, but it does not verify your figures. --JAXHERE | 18:40, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Michael Douglas as Nick Curran in Basic Instinct.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Michael Douglas as Nick Curran in Basic Instinct.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ilse@ 12:59, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Are you a bot or run one?

Are you a bot or run one? ☆ CieloEstrellado 03:24, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

No. I am human. I use the Misplaced Pages vandalism IRC channel #vandalism-en-wp in conjunction with TWINKLE, a JavaScript script which allows me to revert vandalism very quickly. The vandalism bot is User:MartinBot, but I am sometimes able to beat it. Andrew_pmk | Talk 03:26, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Edit Summary & Previews

Please describe your edits with the Edit Summary box. It is located just above the Save button you use. This makes it easier to understand edits when reading the page's History of edits. Also, please use the Show preview button to enable you to combine edits and reduce the number of Saves that you do. This avoids bulking out the edit History with lots of small edits. The Show preview button is located just to the right of the Save button that you use. Thanks. Hu 09:29, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Easter Island

Hi, you inexplicably changed the Easter Island infobox to a country infobox. As Easter Island is not a country and does not even seek to be one, I reverted your edits. Kindly reason your actions in the article's talk page if you see grounds for the country infobox. --Drieakko 07:16, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup

I rather substantially edited the "Scandal section" which you wrote. I changed the section title to be more descriptive and I have tried to make the language more neutral. Obviously as more facts come to light, this section will change. Regards, Flyguy649 contribs 07:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Brazil at the Pan American Games

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Brazil at the Pan American Games, by another Misplaced Pages user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Brazil at the Pan American Games fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

made a mistake, page title was Chile at the Pan American Games, not Brazil

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Brazil at the Pan American Games, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:59, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Template:Audio-nolinks

Hi, Template:Audio-nolinks will be nominated for deletion, due to GFDL violation concerns. If you don't provide a link to GFDL media, it will be a GFDL violation, as explained at Misplaced Pages talk:Misplaced Pages Signpost. Please stop using this template. Thank you. --Kjoonlee 21:12, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

It has been redirected. --Kjoonlee 21:28, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
OK, so it's not like an older version of Template:Audio-nohelp. I didn't know that it links to the image page. Sorry for that. But actually, using an Image: link and a speaker icon at the same time is worse. I disagree strongly with such abuse. --Kjoonlee 07:39, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Could you care to explain yourself, please? Why does this template use a speaker icon (audiolink class) without actually being an audio link? It's just a plain link. You are abusing Misplaced Pages's features. --Kjoonlee 07:55, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Thumbnail? Bad analogy. Explained at TfD page. --Kjoonlee 14:50, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

TfD nomination of Template:Audio-nolinks

Template:Audio-nolinks has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. --Kjoonlee 08:11, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
