A tag has been placed on James Duke Mason, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how James Duke Mason is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:James Duke Mason saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Misplaced Pages, and we request you to follow these instructions. Fightindaman 17:21, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Morgan Mason

Could you please explain why you took away the "citation needed" request from the statement that Morgan Mason "to this day is the youngest advisor to the President of the United States in history", without providing a citation? According to Misplaced Pages:Verifiability, "Material that is challenged or likely to be challenged, and all quotations, must be attributed to a reliable, published source."

I also would like to know if you can verify the statement you reinstated about Mason being "the youngest delegate to any national political convention". The citations on the talk page indicate that there have been delegates as young as age 17, whereas Mason is not identified as having been a delegate until 1980, when he was 25 years old. Thanks for your attention to this. --Metropolitan90 01:33, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
