Carriage Driving is the use of horses, ponies and less frequently other beasts of burden to pull wheeled vehicles. Carriage driving although originating not long after the domestication of the horse as a form of transport has become a popular pasttime and sport in many countries today.

Combined driving also known as Horse Driving Trials is an equestrian sport involving carriage driving. The sport has three phases,dressage, marathon and cones and is most similar to the mounted equestrian sport of eventing.
