Usage

|talk= <!-- Optional: Full page name and #section (no ]-brackets) -->

  • |: First unnamed parameter is page being merged with, from, or to. Use |1= if the parameter is placed on its own line. Pages being merged should be in the same namespace.
  • |dir= Direction of merge. Direction from or to and modifies text accordingly. Defaults to generic "with" message
  • |talk=: Talkpage (and #section) where discussion takes place. Full page name, do not add ]-brackets.

This template will add tagged articles to Category:Articles to be merged, and other pages to Category:Items to be merged.
