Holiday was born in Washington D.C. to a musical family. His mother Frances sang gospel with her five sisters and his older sister provided background vocals for Crystal Waters. By the age of nine, Holiday was developing his singing encouraged by his male cousins. His father passed away when he was eleven.
Holiday signed to Capitol and under the production of Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins recorded his first single "Be with Me" in 2006. His full-length debut Back Of My Lac' is set for release on October 2, 2007.
