Template:Afdbox
Not sure what the point is of this template. Made as a test?. Rocket000 07:40, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Template:Unit-attn
This "template" adds a page to a category. That's it.. Rocket000 06:44, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Template:Infobox Cities in Senegal
Delete. Only used on a few pages and it had many empty fields. It was standardized to {{Infobox Settlement}}. MJCdetroit 02:30, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Delete unused and replaceable by {{Infobox Settlement}}. Carlosguitar 04:01, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Template:Soviet occupation
This is an inherently POV template created by a user with the long history of disruption Digwuren (see block log: ) who also created (and attempted to re-create under other names) already deleted articles Denial of Soviet occupation and Estophobia. The template attempts to integrate very different events. For example, the ongoing Russian-Japanese territorial dispute over Kuril islands is counted as "occupation". Another link redirects to History of Poland (1945–1989). Please note that the topic is havily occupied by a number of related accounts, based in Estonia (see Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Case/Digwuren, Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Case/DLX). Alternatively the template may be moved to Template:Soviet zones of occupation with heavy rework. — Dojarca 02:26, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. I don't think Misplaced Pages should ignore the concensus for the term "Soviet occupation" in the scholarly literature because a handful of anonymous Russian ultra nationalist editors disagree. There are 5360 hits in google scholar for the term "Soviet occupation" and only 107 hits in google scholar for the term "Soviet liberation" Martintg 06:02, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think there is no scholarly consensus to call Russin possession of Kuril islands or post-WWII Poland "occupation"--Dojarca 06:11, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- We are not talking about Russian possession, we are talking about Soviet occupation. No scholarly concensus on Poland? 2330 hits with "soviet occupation"+poland , only 69 hits with "Soviet liberation"+poland . 67 hits "soviet occupation"+kuril , 2 hits "soviet liberation"+kuril Martintg 06:58, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- And now look at which articles this template redirect: to Russian-Japanese Kuril Islands dispute and to History of Poland (1945–1989), implying all that period was "occupation".--Dojarca 07:13, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- That is a complete lie. The template redirects to Soviet_occupation_of_Poland. Martintg 07:57, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, as all previous templates by Digwuren were. This one is also inflammatory, created on purpose to illustrate his point that Kuril Islands dispute, Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, Estonian SSR, and Battle of Berlin are tightly interconnected. --Ghirla 09:14, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Delete as yet another divisive and inflammatory template created by a disruptive user. -- Grafikm 09:28, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
