Yoda was a Jedi Master in Star Wars and one of the senior members of the Jedi Council. He trained Count Dooku as an apprentice. He also trained Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. At the climax of the Battle of Genosis, Yoda duelled Count Dooku and saved Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker. During the Jedi purge, Yoda escaped to Dagobah. Luke met Yoda on Dagobah and Yoda agreed to train Luke in the ways of the Jedi. Luke chose to leave Dagobah to confront Darth Vader and save his friends before completing his training. Luke promised he would return. When Luke returned to Dagobah, Yoda was very sick. Yoda died at the age of 900.
