Requests for IP check

  • Vandal and attack accounts may be listed here for the purpose of identifying and blocking the underlying IP address or open proxy. Requests to confirm sockpuppets of known users should be listed in the sockpuppet section above.
  • If you already know the IP address of the suspected open proxy, list it at Misplaced Pages:Open Proxies instead.
  • Use === Subsections ===; do not create subpages.
  • List user names using the {{checkuser|username}} template. Add new reports to the top of the section.
  • Requests may be acted on or declined according to the discretion of the checkuser admins. Responses will be noted here.
  • Answered requests will be moved to Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/IP check/Archive for 7 days, after which they will be deleted. No separate archive (other than the page history) will be maintained.

CompScientist

For evidence see Misplaced Pages:Suspected sock puppets/CompScientist. Some of these IPs appear to have been used for block evasion, and to continue the harassment and edit warring initiated by User:CompScientist. The user has been targeting administrators for abuse. I have extended the block of CompScientist (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) to one month. Should there be any further use of sock puppets for harassment and disruption, an even longer block or community ban should be implemented. Jehochman 21:20, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Vandals

The exact vandalism to Crank That (Soulja Boy) shows these are obviously the same person. Also note the sockpuppet threats from 3 of the accounts. Perhaps a checkuser can reveal sleeper accounts or maybe a range block can be done. Spellcast (talk) 20:18, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Jack Merridew impersonator and tag remover

Turns out he's either hopping physical computers or changing IP addresses repeatedly. He's also removing tags from several fantasy articles and impersonating users. —BoL 00:12, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

If he's repeatedly changing IPs, then I suspect he's using an anonymizer of some sort or plugging and unplugging a router. In any circumstance, he's on my list as he's been mainly attacking Dungeons & Dragons related articles, the same area where the real account edits. -Jéské 06:20, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I just found this. First, I changed the section header here, from "John" to "Jack". Second, I created a doppelganger account User:Jack Merridew (doppelganger) per User:Blow of Light's request on my talk page. I'm not quite sure what this is for, but...

There are endless anons in on this and I believe some of them to be arriving per some external discussion on a venue such as 4chan; this was suggested awhile ago and I've seen a few mentions in vandal's posts. A review of the many anons who've vandalized my user page might be worth doing, too. Thanks. I'll check back and post further tomorrow. --Jack Merridew 14:48, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I request a clarification; above lists as confirmed that Senang Hati (talk · contribs) is part of the Jack whatever harassers; that is my old account that was usurped after my username was changed; the edits by the usurper are now at Senang Hati (impersonator) (talk · contribs) and I believe the conclusion should be changed to reflect that. I am also unclear as to what the second confirmation has determined other than that the 3 Cyric accounts are related to each other. Please note the the actual edits by the Cyric accounts are all very much in support of the harassment by Senang Hati (impersonator) (talk · contribs). See:
