The New Delhi Railway Station (station code NDLS) is the main railway station in Delhi, and is one of the largest stations in India. It handles over three hundred trains each day.The station has 12 platforms for berthing of Trains. The New Delhi station holds the record for the largest route interlock system in the world. The station is located about two kilometres north of Connaught Place, in central Delhi.

On 3rd July 2007 it was announced that Terry Farrell and Partners, a UK-based architecture firm, would be commissioned to modernise and expand the station in time for the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010.
