Spencer Nilsen is a video game music composer. He is best known for his soundtracks to the Sega CD versions of Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time, as well as the United States version of Sonic CD, a soundtrack that to this day still brings about arguments in Sonic fancircles as to whether it or the Japanese/European version is the best. He also composed the music of Jurassic Park for Sega CD.

He has also worked on a number of film scores and even released a new age album titled "Architects of Change" in 1989.

He is currently the president of Expression College for Digital Arts in Emeryville, California.
