Project Rumble is an upcoming attraction at Universal Studios Florida. It will be an all new type of outdoor roller coaster similar to Hollywood Dream: The Ride at Universal Studios Japan. When it opens in Spring 2010, it will replace three other attractions at the park- The Boneyard, Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, and Twister...Ride it Out.


Attraction Facts

To make way for the new attraction, The Boneyard closed on January 21, 2008 and both Jimmy Neutron and Twister are scheduled to close in the Fall of 2008. Project Rumble was confirmed on January 11, 2008 when Universal filed documents with Orange County to build the 'The Project Rumble Ride System', a synonym for the attraction, and stated on the document that the ride was to be constructed by 'Maurer Rides GMBH' anorther synonym for the ride's constructor Mauer Shone of Germany. Also stated on the document was that the ride would be built on 'lots 6 and 12' of the park's land. No theme is known as of yet, but there has been a very slight rumor that it will be a Hollywood films theme. It is also rumored to be painted completely gold.

Upcoming Ride

Project Rumble will be an inverted roller coaster wich shall do numerous loops. It will have speakers and buttons on each car's seats which will allow guests to choose a song or recording to listen to while on the ride. A shoulder bar will be used as a safty restraint.

Attraction Summary

Project Rumble will start out in Sound stage 33 of the park where guests will queue and experience a pre-show, and will blast out of the building and through sound stage 42 and sound stage 50 and over the production sound stages and through the area between the two parks which was formerly used for the park's studio tour. it will then rerturn to sound stage 33, where guests will exit.

Construction

Construction has already starting planning as of December 19, 2007 and will begin in February 2008. The ride will be completed by January 2010. During construction, walls will be placed around the future area advertising and giving a preview of the attraction. The ride may be opened April 30, 2010.

It is also highly anticipated.
