Trivia

  • Was once denied boarding on a British Airways flight to London because he refused to change out of the "Osama is my bitch" t-shirt he was wearing.
  • Is currently a co-defendant in the trial of O.J. Simpson for the alleged armed robbery of memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Declined an academic scholarship to Oxford University.
  • Orchestrated a 2007 Screen Writers' Guild strike.
  • In July, 2004, Mulaney was tried for assaulting his neighbor, Elizabeth Radout, with a pastry puff. The case was ruled a mistrial and he left the states on August, 11, 2004, to live on a kibbutz in Israel. Nevertheless, the Washington Post's Fashion Critic Robin Givahn said of Mulaney's court room attire: "He looked illustrious in a slick black suit, sophisticated french cuffs, and a debonair side part. Why can't all criminals dress look this good?"
  • To up his status as a gay icon, Mulaney does seasonal sets in the Central Park's Ramble and, during the off-season, does a bi-monthly show entitled "Ramble My Fire Island" at the Stonewall Inn, located in the fabulous heart of Greenwich Village.
  • When Mulaney practices with his mic stand in his tiny apartment bedroom, it is rumored that he wears ladies' pumps and a T-shirt.
  • Mulaney told Time Out New York in their 2007 annual Comedy Issue that if his stand-up career does not pan out, he will turn his attention to being the full time manager of the Doors cover band, the Bloody Social, who are based out of New York.
  • When he's not on-stage, Mulaney can be found at the New York Public Library researching his forthcoming unauthorized biography on America's major dramatist Paddy Chayefsky, due out in September 2009 from Harpo Books, Oprah Winfrey's Books Imprint.
