Maddox (real name George Ouzounian) is an American writer, humorist, satirist, magazine columnist and internet personality of Armenian descent, who currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the author of the website The Best Page in the Universe. He is a graduate of Woods Cross High School in Woods Cross, Utah. He also attended the University of Utah, but does not hold a degree.
Events
Maddox wrote the book The Alphabet of Manliness, and created the satire site The Best Page in the Universe. On May 9, 2006, Maddox, Tucker Max, and RudiusMedia blogger, DrunkasaurusRex, premiered a two-hour test show live on Maxim Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio. On June 6, 2006, Maddox appeared at the San Diego Comic Con with his comic book, The Best Comic in the Universe. He is known to have worked, until 2004, as a programmer for a telemarketing company . Due to the success of his websites, Maddox now sells enough shirts online to "stay above water."
The Alphabet of Manliness
Main article: The Alphabet of ManlinessMaddox wrote The Alphabet of Manliness, which was published in June 2006. It reached the number one spot on the Amazon.com sales chart. The book is illustrated and its format is a chapter-length entry for each letter in the English alphabet regarding a "manly" topic (for example, N is for Chuck Norris)
