Sammy Seminole was the mascot of the Florida State Seminoles football team from 1958 to 1972. Over the years he was portrayed by a series of white undergraduate students who dressed in quasi-American Indian garb.

The university's basketball mascot was called Chief Fullabull.

Sammy Seminole was in 1978 replaced by Chief Osceola and Renegade.
