Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Misplaced Pages and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Misplaced Pages:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Misplaced Pages related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}}

Additional tips
Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

Henna gaijin
A tag has been placed on Henna gaijin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please write {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Lijnema 19:33, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Blanking
Please do not replace Misplaced Pages article or sections with blank contentas you did to Holodomor. Blank sections are harmful to Misplaced Pages because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. --Irpen 20:45, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Cinema of Turkey
Hi there, I noticed that you added the Cinema of Turkey article onto the EuropeanCinema template, and included that template in the article. I am one of the editors of the various World cinema articles and templates, and we are currently trying to sort out the WorldCinema template. One of the sticking points at present is whether Turkey should be included on the EuropeanCinema template or the Middle East Cinema template. At present, it appears on both (in fact, it is the only cinema by country article to appear on more than one regional template). However, it only appears once on the WorldCinema template, under Middle East.
In the interest of including Turkey in the "correct" (or rather, best) location, I'd appreciate your input. Please feel free to respond to the current discussion:
And you can take a look here for the template itself: http://en.wikipedia.org/Template:Worldcinema

Turkopedia
Merhaba Onur.
It sounds quite interesting and I'd love to help but I'm afraid I don't have a lot of time on my hands to take on any additional projects.
What sort of work will the project involve?
By the way, you may want to ask for more volunteers at the Turkish Wiki --Pinar 14:13, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Merhaba Onur,
Sorry for the late response to your message. If we are able to launch something similar to the visual quality and sobriety of wiki.phantis.com, or surpassing it, I would show, no not bare interest, but full-scale application in it (all or nothing). It should have the same range of tools as here (characters, citations et cetera), but I don't think that's possible with wikia. The existing editors should keep an eye on who is entering. While a wide range of interests, knowledge and opinions would be welcome, it should take slightly more than just signing up to shape the mass of information. The site name should consist of a single uninterrupted word dot com. Ama (bence) Turkopedia olmasın. (how about wikipedia with "s" instead of "w", for example) and the content, evidently, of quality. You can't have a stable upmarket platform for a Turkish-related subject here.

Etiquette
Hello Runningfridgesrule. I am here to leave you a note about etiquette on Misplaced Pages. You have been engaged in some serious and heated discussions regarding article the article titled Assyrian genocide. I would like to direct you to important policies on Misplaced Pages, because it appears that you do not know them (and are not following them). On Misplaced Pages, you are expected to assume good faith and avoid personal attacks. Civility is required of you. Furthermore, please keep in mind that Misplaced Pages is not a free-speech zone or anything of the sort. In light of this, I would ask you to pay attention to your conduct on Misplaced Pages, so that your helpful and important contributions are not lost or overshadowed by the nature of the discussions you are engaging in. Please note that we also have a userpage policy that forbids polemical (and arguably racist) statements like the userbox I just removed from your userpage. Thank you for your contributions, and I hope you continue to participate on Misplaced Pages while learning to follow our policies on user conduct and becoming a better contributor. Best wishes. --Cheeser1 (talk) 03:46, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Soru
Siz nerelisiniz? Onur (talk) 17:54, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Anti-Iranian sentiment
Merhaba. I agree with your edit . However, if a source is found that alleges Kurdish persecution in Turkey, should it be reinserted? This question concerns the issue of 'what is the article about?' Obviously, Persians are not the only Iranians. Should the article cover other Iranian peoples (which include Kurds)? The article has suffered from original-research-itis so I wanted to be clear on this issue. Regards.--Agha Nader (talk) 23:38, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Re: Salam!
Hey, well there is some difficulty with this expression, simply because there is no equivalent expression in Arabic for "rule". Its literal meaning is تحكم or يحكم(the first one is feminine and the second one is mescaline) but it will not having the meaning of "rule" that you want. However, you can use "هى الأفضل" which means is the best. So I guess "Running fridges rule" could be "الثلاجات العدآءة هى الأفضل". "الثلاجات" being the fridges and "العدآءة" being the feminine plural of runner, thus making the word for word translation from Arabic to be "The runner fridges are the best". If you need help in another thing or if there is something you don't understand with the translation, please don't hesitate to ask. Regards, Abdallah (talk) 17:49, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
