DhanShiri Nadi

It is a famous river of Bangladesh. The river is a symbol of romance and love mainly introduced by great poet Jibanananda Dash. The river is in Jhalakathi District of Bangladesh. Once it was full of youth but today it is being narrower day by day. The famous line of Jibanananda Dash:

                      "Abar asibo fire Dhanshiri-tir tiree ei Banglay"

has made the river a poetic one. The river is a tourist spot now. People from many corner come to see the river. There are many shops, hotels, cultural organizations, real estate centre etc. after the name of the river. In Bengali Literature, Dhanshiri river is a very enchanting objet of truth and love.
