Dagobert D. (David) Runes (b. 1902) was a philosopher and published author. He is associated with a "spritual" organization known as the Philosophical Library which is also a publishing entity.

In 1942 he had published, as its editor, a philosophical dictionary which he compiled together with 72 other authorities.

He is responsible for publishing an English translation of some of Marx's writing "on the Jewish question" which he gave the erroneous title A World Without Jews. The bases of this hardback small book was Marx's 1843 writing which Marx first published in 1844.

Runes was a collegue and friend of Albert Einstein.

The Library of Congress holds 66 titles under his name.
