.рф (Template:Lang-ru, Russian Federation) is a hypothetical future Internet top-level domain for use by the Russian Federation. It may possibly be introduced at some point in the future.
If this domain is created, some speculate sites' names in this new domain may be in Cyrillic alphabet only.
The direct transcription of "ru" into cyrillic, "ру", or abbreviation of "Russia/Россия", "ро", may be avoided in order not to be confused with "py"/"po" in Latin letters which refer to Paraguay and a yet unassigned code respectively.
