Keeper76 is taking a short wikibreak and will be back on Misplaced Pages once he can wrap his head around this place the right way. Right now, he's grieving the loss of another Wikipedian that he's been in contact with

Me becoming an admin by 'crat WJBscribe My Deletion & Undeletion log My Block & Unblock log My Protection & Unprotection log General disclosure. For reasons of privacy (mostly mine, partly yours) this admin is not available by email. For reasons of transparency (mine and yours), this admin is not available on IRC. Is not now, nor ever will be. In short, what happens on Wiki stays on Wiki. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. There are millions of admins that may still be able to assist you off-wiki, otherwise leave me a message here. Don't worry, it is impossible to insult me and I've nothing to hide (except of course my RL - ID):-) But be creative, regular vandalism gets reverted. Very creative "vandalism" might get saved. Cheers, K76.
I ♥ Wikipedians
If you are reading this, it means you are not reading an article. It is quite possible that you are more fascinated by Wikipedians than Misplaced Pages. If this is you, take heart my friend. I enjoy userpages too and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Origins of My Username
Among many other places, you may likely see my name in the AfD logs as nominator, participator (aka !voter), and closer. I really enjoy the deletion process, and always participate boldly with good cause, and always with good taste. Please note, though, my username, Keeper76, has absolutely nothing to do with my propensity to nominate, participate, or close any debate as keep, or deletefor that matter.
Keeper has long been a pseudonym of mine and was borne long before Misplaced Pages was even a possibility, seeing as how I was called this before personal computers existed. Also, it does not mean I'm one of these, or these, or these, or these. I'm also not a bookkeeper, although it's one of my favorite words because of the rare triple-double (ookkee) in the middle. I have not read or written this or this and I am most certainly not a brand name of one of these. Also, even though I was christened by another editor, no, I'm not a Trapper Keeper. And, finally, thanks to User:21655, I have to go on record here and say definitively that I am not The Keeper of the Keys. All that to say...
My absolute favorite Misplaced Pages quote relating to "keeper" comes from Keepers (Mass Effect):
"Attempts to communicate with (keepers) have been fruitless, and they seem to be genetically programmed to carry out complex tasks. It is unknown if they are sentient. Upon capture or analysis, they release fatal acid destroying themselves."
Some days, I don't edit. But I'm still on Misplaced Pages. Usually, if you check my contributions, you'll see a day or two go by without a significant edit. What am I doing? Reading! Reading! Reading! Have you ever just spent time reading the articles and learning about obscure subjects and following "linki-trails"? It's good fun. Anytime you see my daily edits consisting of a spelling correction here and there, or perhaps no edits at all, it means I'm having a reading day instead of an editing day. If you really must know my edit count...
