The Bundeskanzleramt (federal chancellory) is the administrative body of the Chancellor of Germany. The head of the Bundeskanzleramt (Chef des Bundeskanzleramtes) is a secretary of state or a federal minister. He coordinates the federal government (Bundesregierung) of Germany. Despite this important position in the politics of Germany, the Bundeskanzleramt and its head largely work in the background and have little public attention. The current head of the Bundeskanzleramt is Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Bundeskanzleramt is also the name of the building that houses the offices of the chancellor and the staff of the Bundeskanzleramt. The building is a masterpiece of modern architecture in Berlin. It's also the largest government-headquarter in the world. (12000 m², 8x White House)
