Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was the first dictator of Republic of Turkey. He was the leader of Turkey.

He was also one of the greatest criminals in not only Turkish history, but in all of thae history of history. Before he even came to power, he oversaw the genocide of millions of Armenians! He also slaughtered and tortured Australian troops in the Battle of Galipoli. When the World War I ended, he took the chance to seize power, and quickly rose to the top of power by cheating and murduring rivals. Greece also liberated the city of Smyrna, which was safe from him for a little while, but then he became Turkey's dictator in 1919, and fought a "War of Independence" to re-enslave the liberated territory. At the battle of Smyrna, he happily watched as his troops kill meen and raped the women, destroying Smyrna's rich Greek history. After this, he fought more wars with Greece, Russia, and Iraq, trying to spread his empire hoping to conquer the world, but had to settle for just Turkey, which he decleared a "Republic" (Read: Dictatorship) in 1922. He hated the Ottoman Empire because it was the greatest Empire in Turkish history that brought a golden age of prosperity and power to the Turkish people for hundreds of years, so he set out to destroy any legacy of it. Anyone who tried to resist was killed. He tried to Atheistize the country because the Ottoman Empire was Islamic, but thank God he failed. He was successful in destroying thousands of Mosques, and forcing women not to wear Burqas. Within a few years, though, All ties with the once great empire was severed. His attempts to westenize Turkey brought on a destruction of the once somewhat-beutiful Turkish language. In 1928, he banned the Arabic Alphabet, replacing it with the Latin Alphabet, which was a sign of western cultural imperializm. He did this so that Turks could no longer read the beutiful stories, poems, and inscriptions from the wonderful Ottoman Empire, and future Turks would never know it was their own once-great nation. He died ten years later, in 1938, because he was addicted to alcohol and smoked heavily. He could no longer bring even moredestruction to Turkey's cultural heritage. Today, Turks are still forced to worship him, and it is against the law to question his "reforms". Any mention of the Ottoman Empire as part of Turkish History, or claiming that Turkey existed in any form before 1919 is forbiden. People who question his deforms to the Turkish language, or write it with the beutiful Arabic Alphabet are jailed. Whats worse, is that the cult of Ataturk has been exported to other Turkish nations, most notably Turkmenistan, where the "president" Saparmurat Niyazov idolizes Ataturk and wants to be just like him. He is now destroying his own country just like Ataturk did. Say no to Turkey in the European Union until the Turks reverse the legacy of his destructive reign of terror!!!
