Correct weapon handling include mainly safety issues such as performing
- Hand over a weapon (I.E. Is their still a round in the chamber (Is the Weapon "cleared")?)
- The way of carrying the weapon (e.g. Gun barrel pointing up or down, Is the finger on the trigger)
- Safety against unauthorized use
- Is the weapon on "safe" when not in use?
- Maintenance and its knowledge etc.
This is done to minimize or prevent risks to the operator, people in the vicinity and the weapon itself.
