• September 9, 1993 - Shane Douglas won the ECW Heavyweight title by forfeit from Tito Santana.
• September 10, 1997 - Fritz Von Erich died of cancer at age 68.
• September 12, 1991 - Chris Von Erich died in a suicide shooting at 21.
• September 12, 1999 - Sting defeated Hulk Hogan to win the WCW Heavyweight Championship.
• September 14, 1999 - Vince McMahon defeated Triple H for the WWF Heavyweight title.

• At No Surrender, Sheik Abdul Bashir won the TNA X Division Championship in a 3-way dance by defeating Petey Williams and Consequences Creed.
• On September 14, Shelly Martinez was released from her contract by TNA.
• Sheamus won the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship on September 18, beating Jack Swagger.
• On September 21, at the SmackDown taping, Primo Colón and Carlito won the WWE Tag Team Championship, defeating reigning champions Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder.
