Up to the 1970's short wave radio services were important for outback Western Australian communities with no local radio medium wave or fm radio. I can remember listening on medium wave when they were opening and closing the various short wave stations - If my memory serves me well they were something like VC6 or VCW or something very similar.
Very erratic presence on wiki, but nevertheless soldiering on. Good to meet some and mystified by others, but then wikipedia itself is nothing short of the curates egg with worms!
